Final Fantasy X/X-2 & the Awful "Will" Audio Drama

We have two videos for you today! An in-depth discussion and review of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster and a much shorter video summarising the 'Final Fantasy X -Will-' audio drama. My co-hosts Tom & Luke had never played an RPG before Final Fantasy X and 15 years later, the game remains one of their favourite games of all time. First we discuss our favourite and least favourite elements of the game. We discuss some of the characters, and how they are used to deliver one of the best executed stories in the video game world. Also, the religious themes, which are not only instrumental to the story but hold many real life parallels. The sphere grid and weapon systems which gives incredible freedom in character customisation.

We also discuss Final Fantasy X-2, which many fans believed to be a step backward for the series. While some complaints were understandable, we found that overall, the game drew many classic Final Fantasy elements together to create a satisfying gameplay experience. It even delivered a few elements which surpassed previous Final Fantasy games and which should have been carried through to later games. Finally, we vent our anger at the recent business practices of Square Enix and wonder if they have let one of the most popular video game series ever slip in quality through short-sightedness.

We then experienced the Final Fantasy X -Will- audio drama set some time after the events of Final Fantasy X-2. Written by Kazushige Nojima (worryingly, the lead writer on Final Fantasy XV until Tetsuya Nomura stepped down as director) this final bonus for people purchasing the HD Remaster can only be summed up in one way. It retroactively ruins every single thing that happened in Final Fantasy X. See the video for our harrowing thoughts.
